 2008 - A plan

Last year I finished planting and harvested and thus dug out the rest of the beds, this made it easier, as it was not just digging but also harvesting produce, otherwise it was tough going as the ground is not exactly good top soil. After a fairly disasterous year last year I have resolved to keep the planting to simple this year. I tried some of the heirloom varities of the some plants , with limited success, the pumpkins and Aurora tomatoes being the best growers. There are some good sites linked.

My progress is being mapped in my monthly diary, and in the allotment plan for 2008; areas that have been dug and planted are marked as brown.

I made the mistake of sowing too early last year, this year even though I am itching to go down and start sowing I am resisting so far.
